The What It Takes Foundation was started 3 yrs ago in Philadelphia as a initiative to President Obama’s and Colin Powell’s call to combat the enormous Drop - Out rates in our Schools www.whatittakes.me . Schools all across the nation are suffering . The key goal is to motivate and create interaction between Middle and High school students and high profile minority males. The symposiums have been extremely effective but, have taken us to a whole new realm. That is E-Mentoring. We have embarked on a journey of completely untapped potential. We have recently partnered up with the Navy, United Way, and The Knight Foundation and are working to build relationships with many other sponsors in the future. In order for us to move forward we need mentors. We are in search of Men Of Color to mentor our young Men. We have 200 students from our schools participating in this research program and are in need of mentors. Please visit both websites and I hope that you may be able to help our endeavor.
